This year, I put together one of the prettiest and most detailed rompers I've ever sewn--The Zephyr Romper by Figgy's. A long, long time ago, I bought the Kid's Romper Revamp Class at Craftsy (affiliate link) that has Shelly Figueroa of Figgy's walk you step-by-step through the process of sewing her Zephyr Romper. I've now forgotten why I waited so long to take the class and make this romper, but I wish I had tried it sooner! This Zephyr Romper is amazing!
It's a great class for anyone interested in sewing this romper, but not necessary if you want to just buy the pattern and have a go at it on your own. I've sewn up several other Figgy's patterns, and I always learn a new sewing technique or method from her patterns.
I love the braided straps, subtle pleats, and tiny buttons on the front facing of this romper.
Did you see the adorable side vents and ties on each leg opening? So sweet, but the contrasting ties nearly did me in. I had the most difficult time getting the pattern pieces to fit correctly! It's always rewarding when something that does challenge you works out well in the end and looks like it was effortless to make!
This sweet romper also has pockets!
So, to accommodate my daughter and make her most comfortable, I omitted the elastic casing and shirred two rows with elastic thread just above the waistband seam.
And in case you are wondering, the precious polka dot and bunny fabric is Hoppy Dot in Dusk by Tula Pink and Dot Chambray in Indigio by Robert Kaufman.
Have you been following along with all the other bloggers during Romper Week? If not, be sure to go back and see all the other fantastic rompers for both boys and girls that have been shared. There are even a few free patterns!

CUTE, Veronica!! We've got that pattern, but haven't sewn it .... yet... we even bought fabric to make one at one time, but then sewed up something else with it. Guess we just need to go shopping again, right?? Thanks for the review...can't wait to try it!
