A sewVery Simple Luggage Tag Tutorial

Today I'm showing you step-by-step instructions on how to make A sewVery Simple Luggage Tag. These tags are great for a number of bags and not just luggage, so you'll want to make a few to keep on hand. Plus, they don't require much fabric which makes this an ideal project to use up all those fabric scraps!

The Zephyr Romper and Romper Week Giveaway

It's Romper Week again with Sewing Mama RaeAnna!  I love rompers and wish I were young enough to wear them still and not get funny looks!  Instead, I'll just have to sew up a few for Ella and live vicariously through her.

This year, I put together one of the prettiest and most detailed rompers I've ever sewn--The Zephyr Romper by Figgy's.  A long, long time ago, I bought the Kid's Romper Revamp Class at Craftsy (affiliate link) that has Shelly Figueroa of Figgy's walk you step-by-step through the process of sewing her Zephyr Romper.  I've now forgotten why I waited so long to take the class and make this romper, but I wish I had tried it sooner!  This Zephyr Romper is amazing!

sewVery Sunny Dress Tester Photos Round-Up

A couple of days ago, I released my first graded digital pdf sewing pattern--for FREE! It's the sewVery Sunny Dress Pattern in Sizes 5, 6, and 7.  Boy, was it a labor of love, but I had so much fun making it that I plan to complete the grading and add a couple of variations to the design.

In order to make sure the pattern pieces were graded properly for a good fit and the tutorial instructions were clear and thorough, I requested the help from a group of ladies via a tester call-out on my sewVery Facebook page.  Didn't they do an amazing job?

The sewVery Sunny Dress Tutorial

I'm really excited about the project I'm sharing with you today as part of Melly Sews' (30) Days of Sundresses Series!  The sewVery Sunny Dress is quick and easy to sew and simply perfect to wear on a hot, sunny, southern summer day!  Oh, and did I mention that it's adorable on your little one and may promote smiles and hugs, too?!  And guess what?  I actually digitally graded this into a pattern and have it available to download for FREE!

Water Bottle Tote and Perfect Pattern Parcel #3

Perfect Pattern Parcel has assembled another great collection of indie pattern designs, and this time, the parcel is geared toward women!  While there are some seriously amazing clothing patterns included in the bundle (see below), I chose to share the Water Bottle Tote from Radiant Home Studio with you all.  I know the bag is not as entertaining as a swimsuit post, but trust me when I say the Water Bottle Tote looks better by the pool than me!

Giveaway Time! $150 to the Ribbon Retreat

Have you heard of The Daily Sew on Facebook?  It's a Facebook page devoted to sharing great sewing tutorials, patterns, sales, and pretty much anything else sewing related!  A group of my sewing blogger friends and I take turns hosting the page each day.  It's fun to see what each of us finds to share!

Today, we've partnered with a great sponsor, The Ribbon Retreat, to give away a $150 gift card to their shop!  Wow!

The Tilly Skirt

Sewing Mama RaeAnna has just released her latest pattern, The Tilly Skirt!  Since we are good friends, she gave me a sneak peek of the design and pattern before it was released to the public.  I couldn't wait to sew one up for Ella, and it was one of the quickest projects I've made in a while!

I made this skirt back in late April, and Ella has certainly enjoyed wearing it over and over again since then. In fact, I desperately need to make her another one!  Maybe I'll do that this afternoon since it only takes about an hour.
